Hello again hockey fans.

We’ve been enjoying the summer break here at DKM, and our lack of activity isn’t out of neglect for the free agent proceedings thus far. It’s simply because, TSN and Sportsnet et al already do that for us. And, frankly, they do it much better than us. We’ll stick with racially based humour and biased reports on players and teams. However, as Canadians, we acknowledge that today is a sad day for hockey, as Colorado Avalanche centreman Joe Sakic announced his retirement. His talent was never questioned, he was a great team leader – respected by both his teammates and peers in the league, and he was one of the classiest players to ever don a pair of skates. Click here for the TSN write-up of his retirement ceremony, and follow the jump for video from his press conference today (as well as some of his greatest highlights). Also, as promised in the title, you’ll find a video featuring Dany Heatley and Adolf Hitler. Enjoy.

AND your bonus clip. Adolf Hitler reacts to Dany Heatley invoking his no-trade clause:
Enjoy your retirement, Joe.
