Gord Miller and Pierre McGuire Sleeping Together to Prepare for WJHC

With still a little more than two weeks to go until the World Junior Hockey Championships begin, TSN commentators Gord Miller and Pierre McGuire have begun sleeping together in order to get more comfortable with each other for the tournament. “Much like how the world juniors is a big tradition in Canada, me and Pierre have our own tradition of spending every night together from now until the tournament ends,”  said Miller who will be the play-by-play announcer for the 10th straight year. “You see the Canadian team always doing those team building exercises in an effort to come together as a team, well its the same for Pierre and I. The more time we spend together the better we will perform on the microphone. Sharing the same bed with Pierre for so long allows me to know exactly what he wants to say and when he wants to say it. Its almost like I can read his mind.”

McGuire, the long time colour commentator for the tournament seemed equally enthused at the thought of sleeping in the same bed with a grown man for the next month. “Oh I absolutely love it,” said the exciteable McGuire. Once me and Gordo spend that first night together I know it can only mean one thing, World Junior time baby, my favourite time of the year. Me and Gordon work with each other all year but we usually have seperate rooms so its nice to get to have some fun together for a change. It really allows us to get on the same page because when an entire country is tuning in to hear what you say, there can be no hesitating. And Canada, when you hear all the brilliant analysis and funny tidbits of information that me and Gordie will be firing off, you can rest assure that it all started right here in our cozy little bed. Me and Gerrrrdie are ready to go, are you?”
